This little knot was derived partially from a pattern in the Book of Kells. Only half of it appears on the bottom of folio 32v, but I doubled it up to make a complete circle from it. "Blueknot" is painted in a royal blue, with gold edging, and the design is so striking that I've used it in a few pieces, like my Ogham Suede Book Cover.
