The illuminated capital letters of the old manuscripts are clear examples of how the ancient Celts had mastered the art of Illumination. Here I have painted a "D", based closely on a manuscript initial of the Carolingian era. This painting has been accepted for Alphamark, a juried international traveling exhibition.
