This is one of many small stones that I found at my local lapidary shop, and is the first in a series of Celtic artworks that I will be doing on natural stones and marbles. This particular stone is "Biggs Mountain Jasper", and it has a marbled rust, rose and ochre sort of coloring to it, which matches wonderfully with the Dutch leaf! I've wrapped brass wire around the corners of the piece, so that it is ready to be hung, yet the appearance of the stone is not obscured.
