This is an old piece that I did back in 2003. I had always meant to add more to it, but when I came across it again I realized that it didn't need anything more! The style is full blown Book of Kells style manuscript page, in rustic burgundy colors. I love how the capital C leaps out and how the entire piece is lush with all the hallmarks of Celtic design... animals, knots and spirals! 'Cead Mile Failte' is an old Irish welcome that means '100,000 welcomes'.
