Inlay by Kerry Bourgeois. Materials used, black Gambian ebony for the background, black mother of pearl for the outer vine, red abalone for the inner vine and the sword handle is gold lip mother of pearl, scabbard is brownlip oyster shell, notice the dimple in the center, actual part of the shell, gives a nice 3D effect, blade is silver lip mother of pearl and for the metallic strip in the blade......are you ready for this one, a piece of meteorite. The Gibeon meteorite was found in Africa, Great Namaland, Namibia and is Iron Type IV A with fine octahedrite structure.
